Abstract

The paper substantiates the differences between the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the food industry sector and other ecosystems. The entrepreneurial ecosystem is quantitatively characterized using the Global Innovation Index, and its relationship with GDP per capita is evaluated through the RLS model. The results indicate that as the level of innovation increases in the country, GDP per capita also rises. The reverse relationship, i.e., the impact of economic development on the innovation ecosystem is also positive.
