Abstract

This article examines the impact of the information and communication technology (ICT) sector’s development level on the volume of exported and imported electronic services across countries. It is found that as the ICT sector’s development level increases, the volume of trade in electronic services (both exports and imports) also increases. Statistical data on the volume of exported and imported electronic services (including information services) in Azerbaijan are analyzed. A statistical analysis is conducted to assess the ICT sector’s development level in Azerbaijan. It can be concluded that the ICT sector is a priority in Azerbaijan. Further measures to develop the sector in the country can contribute to an increase in the volume of provided and consumed electronic information services.
