The presented article examines the conceptual foundations of alternative economic decision-making against the background of dynamic changes in the modern business environment, global uncertainties and risk factors. The article emphasizes that the survival and development of companies in modern times depends not only on updating existing strategies, but also on building flexible mechanisms that demonstrate high tolerance to negative external influences. It is also noted that efficient allocation of resources, optimization of financial costs and increasing customer satisfaction through predictive analysis of risks are very important. The article focuses on digital transformation processes and gives new perspectives in risk management of technologies such as artificial intelligence and Big Data. In the context of the current economic landscape of Azerbaijan, it is suggested that risk-tolerant approaches are the cornerstone of national economic security in the context of the development of the non-oil sector and diversification of the economy. In the conclusion part of the article, it is noted that the transition to a system of multi-variant alternatives, abandoning traditional single-scenario planning, gives enterprises the opportunity for strategic maneuver in the event of macroeconomic shocks and regional geopolitical changes.
