This article examines the concept, components, and management of intellectual capital in modern enterprises, emphasizing its strategic role in creating sustainable competitive advantages. intellectual capital, comprising human, structural, and customer capital, represents the aggregate of intangible assets that generate economic value through effective utilization, knowledge transfer, and innovation. the study highlights the importance of investments in human resources, professional development, and structural assets, as well as the protection and commercialization of intellectual property. it further discusses strategic models for managing intellectual capital, including customer capital concentration, structural capital transformation, and social diversification strategies. the article also addresses the complex interactions between different types of capital, organizational structures, and market dynamics, underscoring the need for integrated management approaches. in the context of enterprises in the republic of azerbaijan, the paper identifies challenges and opportunities in the effective reproduction, evaluation, and utilization of intellectual assets. ultimately, the research demonstrates that strategic management of intellectual capital is essential for enhancing enterprise competitiveness, optimizing resource use, and achieving sustainable economic growth in knowledge-driven economies.
