In the process of reconstructing liberated territories, the agricultural sector serves as one of the key pillars of socio-economic revitalization. The development of this sector is of critical importance for encouraging population return, creating employment opportunities, and establishing sustainable livelihoods. In post-conflict contexts, agriculture is among the main mechanisms that facilitate the transition from reliance on humanitarian assistance to long-term economic self-reliance. The formation of industrial-based agriculture stimulates the development of the agro-industrial value chain. This process ensures the processing of local raw materials and the creation of value added within the region. The agricultural sector also plays a significant role in enhancing investment attractiveness. The article examines the main conceptual issues related to the restoration of the agricultural sector in post-conflict areas and analyzes the international experience accumulated in this field. It further assesses the development potential of the agricultural sector in Azerbaijan’s liberated territories and substantiates its strategic role in the post-conflict reconstruction process.
